100 paintings Welsh pony King 4

Flying through the Hills and Dales is 100 Paintings number 4. This is "King" a Welsh
Mountain Pony but I will let King's beloved owner, Yorick Wormgoor tell his story......."This is Amity's Ocean King. His sire is Meastir Odyssey. His dam is Selehems Saray.
King was born in 2005. When I first saw him he was about 5 minutes old. He was born in a small mudpuddle but He was looking like he owned the world. It was that moment I realized he was special. When he was 3 months old he went to his first show, gaining foal championship. After 3 months he begame an ugly little foal. People told us to sell him. But I knew he was going to be special. At the age of 3 he went to our gradingshow, when he got graded I told my girlfriend that we were going to make him famous and do at least one Royal Welsh. In the years after he went to a lot of shows winning nothing. But his fanclub grew by the minute. At the age of 8 he won his first championship. After that several championships followed. At 9 years he went to UK to be shown by Delami stud and to do his first Royal Welsh. Not a good placing over there but the crowd l loved him. He stayed in UK doing 3 Royal Welsh shows produced by 3 different studs. His last RW he got 5th in hand and 10th ridden. That was the year He came home in the Netherlands. As I love showing him I decided to show him at gradingshow again in February, that was his 8th time there. He became overall champion section A. Which is a Big thing in Holland. This year will be his 9th grading. The promise I made when he was 3 years old was to make him famous, he is now 14 and I think I can say he is now. I can sell him any given moment but when people ask me I always say no as he is more then a pony , he is part of our family and always will be my special one. 10 years ago I got his faced tattooed on my arm so he is with me 24/7.

Well true for me, as I have resolved on a quest. A children's book is in the making and I am challenging myself to do a painting a day for 100 days, Lord willing. Each painting will depict an animal and/or nature. I am aiming to build a character study and also a consistent feel "as you may" of a uniform look. I am not sure what each day will bring and also which animals will be portrayed, some of the animals in the paintings will be chosen for the book. All the originals are 5x7" and will be painted with the purest form of watercolor using Sennelier colors and ink on Arches archival 300 lb hot press paper. Each new original will be posted daily for 100 days and will be shown on my website at SusieGordonFineArt.com. These original paintings will be offered for sale at $125.00 a piece (includes shipping) and will have the number beside my signature for any who wish to collect.
